About OLEKA

The Ohio Law Enforcement K9 Association is dedicated to enhancing the partnership and effectiveness of K9 units statewide. Our mission is to unite handlers for better training and collaboration.

OLEKA is driven by a passion for supporting K9 teams, ensuring they receive the resources and training necessary to serve and protect the community effectively.

Membership

OLEKA members stay in contact with other K9 Officers throughout Ohio and abroad, and enjoy working and training with some of the best in the business.

Training Workshops

Regular workshops focus on advanced training techniques for K9s and their handlers, ensuring they remain at the forefront of law enforcement.

Community Outreach

We conduct outreach programs aimed at educating the public about the vital roles K9s play in law enforcement and community safety.

Funding Support

OLEKA assists K9 units in funding their necessary equipment and training, ensuring that they have the resources needed to perform effectively.

A very special and elite team exists in Law Enforcement, who having undergone years of rigorous training, prove daily their loyalty and dedication to their community.

Heroic

They work day in and day out – ready to risk their lives at a moment’s notice – to protect and serve you. The fundamental difference between these and any other Law Enforcement team, however, it’s their legs – all four of them.

Success

They search and rescue, they sniff our dangerous drugs and explosives, they track criminals, detain dangerous persons, and occasionally even make traffic stops. They work hard to faithfully protect you.
